Hi, I hope everybody is doing well. I woke up today, trying to remember my life before this pandemic. It’s my day off today. I should be out shopping somewhere with my Mom. But since this pandemic started, each and everyone’s lives change drastically.
Most of the healthcare workers or any essential workers as they say haven’t seen their families for awhile. I am one of them. I’ve been living in solitary while giving direct care to patients.
Still I’m thankful. I’m thankful that I have the ability to keep my family safe. I am capable of providing them a normal life as much as possible. They have their basic needs: food, shelter, clothing and safety.
I am very thankful to all the people that works in the grocery. Truck drivers that deliver goods in and out of the state. People that keep our groceries running. As well as instacart personnel, whom I totally rely in sending groceries to my family. If you are using instacart PLEASE GIVE THESE GUYS a GENEROUS TIP. They are placing themselves at risk out there for us to have food in our table.
I am very thankful to the farmers, people that works in the poultry, food production as well as the fuel and gas producers / distributors. If they stop working we won’t be able to function normally.
I am very thankful that my hospital is trying their best in giving their employees the best PPE that they can secure. We don’t have the ideal PPE, but I know we are so much better compared to other places.
I am very thankful to the people working in the pharmacy who are out there trying to keep the medications and other supplies available to us. I saw how busy they are couple of weeks ago when I picked up my husband’s medications. They are just wearing a regular mask while talking to people who are coughing every now and then.
I am very thankful to all restaurant personnel who are continuously providing take outs to feed the community. Not everybody can cook at home. 🙂
I am very thankful to those essential workers that allow us to live normally. The drivers that pick up our trash regularly, our delivery guys that ensures we get our amazon order, our mails, our fedex/dhl/usps packages.
I am very thankful to the people that make sure we have clean water and uninterrupted supply of electricity/power.
I am very thankful to the officers that keep us safe, and in order during this time of chaos. You will see in the news some of them are also getting infected.
I am very thankful to the factory workers who are continuously working night and day just to provide us PPEs, Ventilators, medications and other items that we desperately need now.
I am very thankful to the people that works in the morgue, funeral, or in the crematorium. We all know that they are working 24/7 now, and they are putting themselves at risk just like any essential worker.
I am very thankful to the government employees and officials that are trying their best to provide what we all need. Some of them are doing amazing, while the others are leading their countries to the ditch. Sorry but it’s true.
I am very thankful to the media for being out there keeping us updated on what is going on, while we are supposed to stay home. Thank you for showing the world what are the grave mistakes our system is committing right now, and making sure this pandemic will be a catalyst for change.
I am very thankful for the technology that we have now. Our advancement allows families to connect to their love ones that are admitted and isolated in the hospitals. Thank you so much to all the IT guys as well as the ones that work in the Communication networks.
I am very thankful to other influential people who are raising funds to support all the front liners. To anyone who donated no matter how much is the value. You are not measured by the amount that you give, but with your desire to help.
I am very thankful to all private companies who are continuously donating PPEs, food, and other items that are very essential to us who are in the front lines.
I am very thankful to my fellow healthcare workers. To the people that works in the laboratories / medtechs for working 24/7 to make sure we all get our results as fast as possible so we can start the appropriate treatment. To the environmental people that clean our rooms, making sure that all our things are properly sanitize. To the dietary people for making sure employees and patients have clean food to eat. To the facilities, for making sure all our machines, outlets, beds, and tons of things in our hospital are properly working. To our secretaries for giving us the support and making our lives so much easier in the floor units.
To all Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Doctors, CPs/CNA/PCA, Physical Therapists, Pharmacists, Radiologist/ MRI/ XR/CT Scan Techs, Transporters, EMTs, Security, personnel on the front desk, Phlebotomist, Social Workers / Case Managers, Dietitians, Unit managers, the upper management – for taking the risk of going to work every single day with the common goal of saving the world from this unforgiving invisible virus.
I am very thankful to my present and former co-workers. We’ve seen a lot out there, but this is one is something we never imagined. Not in our wildest dreams for sure. I know most of us are so ready to run away from this job, but we stayed. We still have something to give, but please remember our own health is our priority. We can’t be just heroes, we need to be these healthy heroes. We can’t give what we don’t have – healthy body and mind. Take time to heal, take care and protect yourselves.
I am very thankful to my husband, my family / relatives and friends- for praying for me, sending me food to eat, texting me warm messages, and encouragement. Thank you for letting me do my job – which I know it is hard for them to accept the fact that me and my youngest brother need to be out there performing our duty to humanity.
Also thank you for the Stimulus Fund 🙂 Hopefully Heroes Fund gets approved, but it needs a miracle for this one. LOL
I know there are so much more people out there to thank. My sincerest apologies if I miss to mention you guys. But my heart goes to you, I am thanking and praying for your safety.
I am thankful that this event can heal so many things. It can heal our ozone layer. It can heal our water and air pollution. It can heal our broken government, and health care system. It can heal broken relationships in our homes. 🙂
To all the families that lost their love ones during this pandemic, I pray for healing.
To all the people around the globe that were unable to survive the fight with this virus and died alone – I pray for your soul and peaceful retreat. It breaks my heart while the numbers go up, but I can’t let sadness and fear rule me now.
To GOD ALMIGHTY – I am very thankful for waking up another day. Please keep us safe, and shower us with the wisdom to make the right decision especially our Leaders.
To all the people that has NO faith, I’m very sorry to inform you that this is the time to say a little prayer. At this time we are all defeated. At this time we realize what are the most important things in our life now. At this time we all know that the best investments are not your jewelries, not your luxury bags, nor your Maserati – it’s your physical and mental health.
And most importantly – thank you for STAYING HOME.
Share if you are thankful. 🙂
